Meet Jarae
Therapist, LPCC
Jarae is a warm, culturally competent, and evidence-based therapist who is deeply committed to mental health education and access. As a first-generation college graduate and Colorado native, she integrates her personal experiences with her professional expertise to create a safe yet realistic space for healing.
As a graduate of CU Denver and Adams State University, Jarae draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and a person-centered perspective. She also incorporates philosophical perspectives into her work, encouraging clients to explore life’s deeper questions as part of their healing journey, reducing their existential fear and understanding the greater human connective experience.
Influenced by the teachings of Carl Jung, Jarae believes in the power of self-awareness and inner exploration, echoing his words: “Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” She empowers her clients to connect with their inner strengths, fostering growth and resilience. Jarae uses refreshing references from pop culture including books, graphic novels, and online spaces as well with a special interest in anime and video game culture. She enjoys linking a person’s interests with a wider view lens that allows them to embody and understand their strengths.
Outside of her work, Jarae enjoys hanging with animal friends, snowboarding in fluffy snow, and gardening. Through her holistic and person-centered approach, she is dedicated to helping individuals achieve greater balance, self-discovery, and healing. She is dedicated to an appreciation and integration of all parts of yourself to reduce shame and empower you to treat yourself with care that allows you to flourish. Working with a variety of populations has allowed her to have a wide range of experience to help you uniquely frame your perspective in a way that is refreshing and engaging.
