Meet Lacey
Therapist (LPC)
Lacey Pacheco has spent her career working with adolescents, young children, and their families. She started her career as a high school English teacher, but ultimately realized her passion for mental health and helping adolescents manage their mental health in order to learn and engage fully. Inspired by her teaching experience, Lacey pursued a Master's degree in School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling and transitioned from the role of classroom teacher to school counselor. Lacey decided to leave the school system to follow her heart and work full-time for Kairos Wellness Collective in July 2022 shortly after Kairos Wellness Collective opened its doors.
Lacey utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Inference Cognitive Behavior Therapy (I-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method for couples therapy, along with training in OCD and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). Lacey has started and run several therapy groups for adolescents as well as adults at Kairos including a grief group for adults; a support group for adolescents with ASD; and anxiety groups for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and young adults, respectively. Lacey also leads the Parent Exposure Response Prevention Training in order to support parents and caretakers through their child’s OCD and ERP treatment.
Lacey is the Clinical Director of the Boulder location and on September 1, 2024, Kairos Wellness Collective will be expanding to Northern Colorado and will have a location in Fort Collins. Lacey will also be the Clinical Director of the Fort Collins location. She is excited to expand services to Northern Colorado. Along with treating clients for anxiety and OCD, she will also be offering Parent Exposure Response Prevention Training at the Fort Collins location.
Lacey has experience working with clients of all ages and believes wholeheartedly that creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment is imperative especially when working with children, adolescents, and their families. Lacey has lived OCD experience which allows her to connect with clients on a more personal level.
Lacey has been married to her high school sweetheart for 19 years and has three incredible children, three dogs, and two cats. She loves hiking, horseback riding, live music, cycling, reading, and movies/film. Lacey loves animals and nature and believes both play a significant role in overall wellness.
Lacey works alongside her therapy dog, Maverick.
