Meet Stephanie

Stephanie began her career in broadcasting and television, enjoying that field until she and her husband decided to start a family and quickly filled their home with three little girls. The precocious nature of one of her daughters led Stephanie to a Love and Logic parenting course, which impressed her enough that she became a Love and Logic Facilitator. She deeply enjoyed supporting parents by sharing the simple rules of this skillful model, where parents take control of difficult parenting challenges in a calm and controlled fashion. As her girls grew, she felt a strong pull to advocate for less fortunate children and became a Volunteer Educator for the Child Advocacy Center, Blue Sky Bridge, whose mission and vision is prevention plus intervention in the Fight Against Child Sexual Abuse. It was in this work that Stephanie found her true passion, and she continues in this role with Blue Sky Bridge today.

On a personal level, six years ago, Stephanie’s middle daughter was diagnosed with OCD, anxiety and depression. Since that time, Stephanie has devoted much of her time to helping her daughter cope with these conditions. Searching for relief led Stephanie’s family down many roads, including therapy, medication, acupuncture, ERP, CBT, DBT, Ketamine Infusions, antibiotics, antivirals, vitamin infusions, as well as various in-patient and out-patient programs.

While Stephanie’s daughter still continues to navigate her mental health challenges, the support she has received from her family and from organizations like Kairos has been invaluable in her life. Her symptoms have improved dramatically and she is now living independently in California.

Stephanie is passionate about translating her first-hand experience and knowledge to help other children and their families cope with similar issues and struggles.

Stephanie whole-heartedly believes in Kairos’ vision and is honored and overwhelmed with excitement to support the patients of Kairos, in her new role as Volunteer Parent Educator and Exposure Response Prevention Coach!
