Clinical Director, LCSW

Alie Bernard Garza, LCSW, is a clinical specialist in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders in Denver, Colorado, who holds an MSW from the University of Washington in Seattle. Alie is particularly passionate about supporting individuals with comorbidities such as ADHD and Autism through a neurodivergent-affirming lens, working with patients who have experienced religious trauma or spiritual abuse and enjoys working with parents, families, adolescents, and young adults to navigate complex mental health challenges.

Her professional journey includes roles at intensive OCD programs across the country, such as the Portland Anxiety Clinic, the OCD Institute Texas, and the University of Colorado Anschutz OCD Program. Alie’s experience spans all levels of care, including IOP, PHP, residential, and inpatient settings, where she delivers creative, evidence-based, and individualized interventions. Her strong background in suicide prevention and crisis intervention underscores her ability to provide compassionate care during critical moments.

As an Advocate with the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and someone with lived experience of severe OCD, Alie offers a unique and empathetic perspective to her work. She is deeply committed to expanding access to ERP treatment, reducing stigma around “taboo” OCD themes, and fostering resilience in those she serves. Driven by her belief in empowering individuals and families to heal, Alie combines her professional expertise, advocacy, and personal journey in her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the mental health field.
