Tabitha is excited about joining the Kairos team. She views counseling as a calling in her life and cannot wait to begin adding to the meaningful work being done at the Collective.
Tabitha holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University of beautiful Lakewood, Colorado, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Argosy University in Denver, Colorado.
Tabitha continues to grow in her post-graduate experience of working in the field of clinical mental health counseling, currently holding an expanding skill set. She has worked with various populations to include individuals experiencing crises, those admitted to inpatient emergency psychiatric care, and individuals struggling with addiction. The majority of Tabitha's clinical work has been with adult and adolescent populations, although she is expanding her area of clinical expertise to providing services for children as well!
She works from a Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral (DBT), and Person-Centered framework of therapy. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is an important factor for helping clients feel that they're safe and truly seen. She views client empowerment as an important catalyst for change to occur and uses a trauma-informed approach to help clients reach their goals and potential!
Tabitha is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in the state of Colorado (LPCC.0018177).

Trainings:
Training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention, a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach to working with children who have experienced varying levels of stressors and trauma and their caregivers.
Extensive training in crisis assessment and intervention both in a clinical setting and within the community.
